The UCI Edwards Lifesciences Foundation Cardiovascular Innovation and Research Center (CIRC), with support from the Samueli School of Engineering, is sponsoring a one-day workshop on Cardiovascular Health Disparities. The goals of this workshop are to identify synergies across campus and strategic directions for a new Black Thriving Initiative faculty cluster hire proposal this fall, and to develop collaborative pilot projects in this space. We are especially interested in topics at the intersection of engineering and cardiovascular health. Our mission is to bring together faculty, staff, and trainees at UCI with shared interests in this area with the hopes of stimulating UCI’s leadership in this critical, emerging area. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP with your willingness to give a short presentation or simply attend. Please also pass this announcement along to others whose attendance would add value to the discussions (collaborators, trainees, etc.). This workshop is in person; all appropriate COVID-19 related precautions will be observed.
Location: First Floor Conference Room in the ISEB
